I n 1995, in preparation for the renovation of the funeral home, a new office building was built on the property, and the old house in which the former office was located was removed. Construction of a spacious new chapel was begun in 1996. The new chapel comfortably seats 165 people, as well as the 45 additional seats in the private family room. Also included in this project was the beautiful new foyer, which serves as the main entrance to the building, and two new restrooms. A major improvement was the addition of a covered carport, enabling family members to exit the building to their cars, being protected from the weather.
Upon completion of the new chapel, a total renovation of the existing building was begun. A total transformation was achieved by creating a beautiful, large, third parlor where the former chapel used to be, and by re-decorating the entire building, including the restrooms, office, selection room and the existing parlors. In addition to the improvements made to the building, a spacious, well-lighted parking area was added, thereby making entrance to the building conveniently accessible from the front and the rear. The project was completed in January 1997.
Saulters-Moore Funeral Home now serves the area proudly, providing the most up-to-date, well-planned, handicap-equipped facility available.
