Mary Nell Kirby

Funeral services were held Saturday February 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield , MS for Mrs. Mary Nell Kirby, age 79, who passed away on February 26, 2015 at Hospice Ministries of Ridgland in Ridgland, MS. Interment followed at St. James Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Father Peter Varghese and Deacon Bob Everard officiated. Pall bearers were: Chuck Carr, Mike Carr, John Carr, Bobby Davis, Ricky Davis and Robert Carr Mary Nell was born on June 18, 1935 in Paulding County MS. She was the daughter of Mr. Charles F. Carr Sr. and Lelia McDevitt. She received her registered nursing degree in Vicksburg, MS. She was an R.N. for 25 years working in New Orleans, LA at Tulane Medical Center , Ochsner Hospital and Touro Infirmary. She was a member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS. She is survived by her son, Joseph Kirby of Bassfield, MS. Her sister, Mary McCardle of New Orleans, LA. Her grandson, Johnny Kirby and her brother, Charles Carr of Bassfild, MS.
