Maudine T. Pope

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 22, 2015 at Crooked Creek Baptist Church for Mrs. Maudine Pope, age 87, of Monticello, MS who passed away March 20, 2015 at the Lawrence County Nursing Center in Monticello. Interment followed in Cliburn Cemetery. Rev. Willie Martin officiated. Pall Bearers were: Gary McNease, William Johnson, Kenneth McAllister, Steve McAllister, Aaron McAllister and Zack McNease. Maudine Pope was born March 3, 1928 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. She was the daughter of Freddie and Fannie Robbins Ward. She was a Seamstress and a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Pope is survived by one daughter, Rachel Ashcraft of Clinton, MS; three sons: Jimmie McAllister of Carson, MS. Gerald McAllister and Douglas McAllister, both of Silver Creek, MS; 9 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three husbands, two brothers, and three sisters. Saulters- Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled all arrangements.
