Harold Alvin Taylor, Sr.

Funeral services were held Tuesday March 24, 2015 at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Harold Alvin Taylor Sr. who passed away on March 22, 2015 at the Jefferson Davis County Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Brady Cemetery in Prentiss. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Robert Cooper officiated. Pall bearers were: Danny Powell, Buddy Taylor, David Miller, James Davis, Mike Rogers and David Fortenberry. Alvin was born May 10, 1927 in Jefferson Davis County, MS. He was the son of Clyde E. Taylor and Jalma Fortenberry. He was a World War II merchant marine. He was a Mason. He worked as an iron worker in the oil field. He was also a cattle farmer and for a number of years drove trucks across country hauling cattle. He drove for other companies as well.He was a member of Hepzibah Baptist church. He is survived by his two sons, Harold Taylor Jr. of Prentiss, MS and Charlie Taylor of Jayess, MS. Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
