Raymond Earl Banes

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Raymond Earl Banes, age 75, who passed away May 28, 2015 at his residence in Prentiss, MS. Rev. Ben James and Rev. Charles Burnham officiated. Interment followed at Prentiss Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph Prince, Mario Rodrigues, Harold Stamps, Cade Banes, John Turnage, and Billy Garner. Honorary Pallbearers were members of Raymond’s Sunday School Class. Raymond Banes was born October 6, 1939 in Robeline, LA. He was the son of the late Luther Delbert Banes and Minnie Carroll Banes. He worked as an Offshore Production Clerk for 15 years and was a member of Prentiss Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Judy Banes of Prentiss, MS; one son, Barry Banes of New Hebron, MS; one daughter, Janice Banes of Beaumont, TX; one stepson, Frank Miller of Oakvale, MS, one sister, Norma McVee of Houston, TX and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a granddaughter. Saulters-Moore Funeral Services of Prentiss handled all arrangements.
