Rev. Jerrold "Jerry" Earl Slonaker

Funeral services for Rev. “Jerry” Slonaker were held Saturday August 22-2015 at Bunker Hill Baptist Church. Age 95 that passed away on August 19, 2015 at the VA nursing home in Collins MS. Interment followed at New Bunker Hill Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Rev. David Perry and Rev. Randy Gardner officiated. Pallbearers were: Doug Slonaker, Jeremy Slonaker, Jed Slonaker, Alex Slonaker, Barrett Slonaker, Peyton Slonaker and Jimmy McPhail. Rev. “Jerry” was the son of William Clark Slonaker and Eva Marie Willis Slonaker. He was a World War II Army Veteran Staff Sergeant. He pastored several churches in South Mississippi including, First Church of Mt. Olive, Phalti and Ora Baptist Churches. He graduated from Mississippi College and New Orleans Baptist Seminary. While in the military he met the love of his life at camp Shelby, Katherine Robbins and they were married for 67 years. He was a member of Bunker Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons, Clark Slonaker of Laurel, MS (Joyce) and Randy Slonaker of Summitt, MS (Kate). Also, four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and one great, great grandchild.
