Milford Cole

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 5, 2009, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. John Milford Cole, age 84, of New Hebron, MS who passed away March 3, 2009 at his residence in New Hebron, MS. Bro. Charles Burnham officiated. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Pallbearers were Donald Cole, Ronnie McNease, Otis Bruce, Cole Warren, Scott Cole, Joe Lee, Elliott Cole and C.W. Cole. Mr. Cole was born in Jefferson Davis County, MS on February 28, 1925, the son of Hez Robert Cole and Pearl Buckley Cole. He was a farmer and a carpenter for 20 years. He worked with the MS Forestry Commission and the MS Highway Department. He was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Virgie Lee Cole of New Hebron; daughter, Sandra Warren of New Hebron; three sons, James Cole of Jackson, MS, Larry Cole of Brandon, MS, Aaron Cole of New Hebron; stepson, Joe Lee of Mt. Olive, MS; eight grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Allene Mikell of Prentiss. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Euel Dene Cole, two sisters and a brother.
