Vera Miller Gore

Funeral services were held Wednesday December 9, 2015 at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss for Mrs. Vera Louise Miller Gore, age 95, who passed away on December 4, 2015 at her residence in Zachary, LA. Interment followed at Bassfield Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Bobby Brewer and Rev. Vernon Terrell officiated. Pall bearers were: Raymond Miller, Estes Garner, John Davies, Kurt Greene, Roland Dyess and Marty Kerley. Mrs. Verna was born on November 21, 1920 in Carson, MS. She was the daughter of Fate Miller and Gaye Carter. She worked as a clerk at Smiley’s meat market in Baton Rouge for 25 years. She was a member of Carson Methodist Church. She is survived by her son, Cecil Miller of Zachary, LA Five Grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and eight great, great grandchildren. Her brother, Lavell Miller of Houston, TX Two sisters, Georgia Kerley and Vonnie Jean McNease both of Bassfield, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, T. C.
