Donald Wayne Holmes

Funeral Services were held Friday May 20, 2016 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Donald Wayne Holmes, age 69, who passed away on May 19, 2016 at his residence in New Hebron, MS. Interment followed in Cliburn Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Rev. Larry Hodges and Rev. Doc Bradford officiated. Pallbearers were: James Ray Cliburn, Danny Lee Cliburn, Buddy Cliburn Travis Dedeaux, Jacob Wood, Joe Sutton and Lavelle Nations. Honorary bearers were: Mike Newsome and Larry Bishop. Mr. Donald was born February 4, 1947 in Jackson, MS. He was the son of McKinnis Holmes and Mamie Holmes. He worked as a Crane operator offshore for 22 years for Odeco. He is survived by his wife, Syble Holmes; his daughter, Rena Holmes- Cone and his son, Clayton Holmes all of New Hebron, MS. Four grandchildren; two great grandchildren and his sister, Pat Yates of Brandon, MS. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Donald Holmes; one granddaughter, Danielle Cone.
