Cleve Daughdrill

Funeral Services were held Wednesday August 10, 2016 at 11:00 am at Saulters Moore Chapel in Prentiss, MS, for Cleve Nelson Daughdrill, age 79, who passed away at his residence on August 7, 2016. Interment followed in Dublin Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled all arrangements. Rev. Robert Cooper and Bro. Derrick Daughdrill officiated. Pallbearers were: Sammy Neese, Willis Corbin, David Berry, Denvil McPhail, Hal “Moochie” Speights and Alton Herrington. Cleve was born March 5, 1937 in Lawrence Co. Hospital. He was the son of Cleveland Daughdrill and Helen James Daughdrill. He started working offshore at 18 years old for ODECO and then Pen Rod. He retired as a tool pusher. He was in Law enforcement for a number of years as a deputy and constable. He worked several places including Georgia Pacific in the mill, County Line Speed Way & C & D Seafood. He also cooked for 25 years for Circle Bar Ranch for Law Enforcement Appreciation Day. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He attended Goss Baptist Church and Dublin Baptist Church. He was a Shriner and a Mason. He is survived by his wife, Diane Daughdrill of Prentiss, MS; his daughter, Donna Robbins (Chris) of Water Loo, AL; his step daughter, Mechelle Dockall (Bruce) of Deer Park, TX; his son Daryl Daughdrill of Foxworth, MS; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; his sister, Brenda Piner of TN; his brother, Robert Daughdrill of Foxworth, MS; a number of nieces and nephews and two very “special Little Ones” He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Mack and his half-sister Viola Smith.
