Funeral services were held Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Bassfield, MS. for Mrs. Mary O’Connell who passed away October 29, 2016 at Hospice Ministries in Richland, MS. Interment followed in St. James Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled all arrangements. Father Peter Kmiecik officiated. Pallbearers were: Patrick Davis, Tucker Davis, Brian Davis, Matthew Berke, Colby Verdun and Tyler Davis. Mrs. Mary was born on October 27, 1926 to Obe Schillings and Elvina Lavoy Schillings. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She is survived by her sons, Greg Davis (Jan) of Sugar Land, TX and Bert Davis (Karen) of Sanibel Island, FL.; Her step daughters, Diane Hazard (Wyatt) and Donna Knight (Terrell) both of Jackson, MS.; Four grandchildren, Patrick Davis, Tucker Davis, Brian Davis and Matthew Berke; Five step grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Connell, Kirk and Lucy Tucker; Two great grandchildren, Grayson and Finley Davis. She was preceded in death by her parents, her 1st husband, Pat Davis; 2nd husband, Bill Prince; 3rd. husband, Johnny O’Connell and three brothers, Fletcher Schilling, Johnny Schilling and Harry Schilling.
