Judy Slater Broome

Funeral Rites for Judy Broome were held at 11:00am on Monday, November 21, 2016 in the Chapel of Saulters-Moore Funeral Home. Mrs. Broome, age 62, passed away from this life on Friday, November 18, 2016 in Picayune. Reverend Charles Lee Loftin officiated and interment followed in the Whitesand Baptist Church Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers were Clay Loftin, Cory Loftin, Jay Slater, Robert Slater, Gary Bass, Larry Owens and Shae McNeese. Judy Kay Slater Broome was born on April 13, 1954 in Jefferson Davis County to James Slater and Jean Fennell Slater. Mrs. Broome was a Counselor with Pine Belt Mental Health and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Preceding Mrs. Broome in death were her mother and father. Survivors are her husband Darwin Broome of Sumrall; 1 son, Frankie Broome of Bassfield; 1 daughter, Maria McCleese of Cincinnati, OH; and 2 brothers, John Slater and Jimmy Slater, both of New Hebron; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
