Maurine May

Funeral services were held Saturday December 10, 2016 at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel in Prentiss, MS. for Mrs. Maurine May, age 85, who passed away December 8, 2016 in Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Interment followed in New Hebron Cemetery. Saulters- Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS handled arrangements. Rev. Trey Spangler and Rev. Andy McDaniel officiated. Pallbearers were Scott Fuller, Kevin Fuller, James Fuller, B.J. Cox, Jerry Cox and Gregg Gilmer. Maurine May was born in New Hebron, MS on May 9, 1931 to Marvin Barber and Dessie Walker Barber. She was a seamstress for 10 years at New Hebron Manufacturing. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. She is survived by one son, Albert May of Silver Creek, MS; two daughters: Sybil Cox of Prairieville, LA and Glenda Fuller of Birmingham, AL; Nine grandchildren and twenty great great grandchildren.
