Funeral services were held Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Frances Nell Coats, age 78, of Prentiss, MS who passed away January 13, 2017 at Jefferson Davis Community Hospital in Prentiss, MS. Interment followed at Whitesand Cemetery. Rev Charles Burnham officiated. Pallbearers were her grandsons. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss handled all arrangements. Mrs. Frances Nell Coats was born April 15 1938 in Jefferson Davis County. She was the daughter of James Ethel Bridges and Nannie Marie Roberts. She was a homemaker and a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Coats is survived by one daughter, Nancy Dyess of Prentiss, MS; four sons: Charlie Coats of Laurel, MS, Robert W. Coats of Bassfield, MS, Donald N. Coats of Oakvale, MS, and Michael Coats of Lake Charles, LA; three brothers: James Bridges of Clarksdale, TN, Joe Bridges of New Hebron, MS, Buddy Bridges of Creole, LA; three sisters: Rebecca Brousard of Lake Charles, LA, Sue Roberts of Wesson., MS, Luna Merl Barnett of Kinder, LA; seven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
