Graveside services were held Friday, January 27, 2017 at Society Hill Cemetery for Mrs. Jeanette Rogers Rawls, age 90, of Monticello, MS who passed away January 25, 2017 in Monticello. Rev. Eddie Myers officiated. Saulters-Moore Funeral Service of Prentiss, MS handled arrangements. Lois Jeanette Rawls was born May 4, 1926 in Lawrence County, MS. She was the daughter of Roland W. Morris and Ella Jones Morris. Mrs. Rawls owned and operated Jeanette Rogers Grocery Store for 40 + years in the Society Hill Community. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of Monticello Baptist Church. Mrs. Rawls is survived by one son Dickie Rogers of Carson, MS; daughter Diane Bass of Oakvale, MS; 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
