Funeral Services for Willie Faye Griffith were held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2017 at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home. Mrs. Griffith, age 95, passed away from this life Tuesday, February 7, 2017, in Prentiss. The Reverend Charles Burnham officiated and interment followed in the Whitesand Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Chris Griffith, Stephen Griffith, Daniel Evans, Tommy King, Herston Wade and Jerry McLaurin. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Willie Faye McLaurin Griffith was born on January 2, 1922 in Smith County to William T. McLaurin and Nola Sullivan McLaurin. Mrs. Griffith was a homemaker and was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. Mrs. Griffith was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband Clarence Griffith; 1 son, Harry McLaurin; 4 brothers and 4 sisters. Survivors include 2 sons, Gerald Griffith and Bobby Griffith, both of Prentiss; 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Jeanette Nagy of Petal; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
