Hiram Hartzog

Funeral services were held Saturday, March 11, 2017 at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel in Prentiss, MS for Mr. Hiram Hartzog, age 83, of Silver Creek, MS who passed away Friday, March 10, 2017 at his residence in Silver Creek. Interment followed in Calvary Cemetery in Silver Creek. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss, MS was in charge of arrangements. Rev. Mike Sutton officiated. Pallbearers were: Gary Bass, Ray Fortenberry, Ricky Harvey, Mark Griffin, Bryan Hartzog and Marty Martin. Mr. Hartzog was born November 19, 1933 in Silver Creek, MS. He served In the National Guard for eight years. He was retired from Hartzog Bros. Body Shop as a partner. He also worked as a security guard for Miles Lumber Company and the power plant, retiring in 2011. He was a member at Calvary Baptist Church. He is survived by one daughter, Carmen Watson of Silver Creek and one son, Kevin Hartzog (Evon) of Silver Creek; two grandchildren, Ben Hartzog and Gracie Hartzog and a half-sister, Vernell Daniels of Brookhaven, MS.
