James Watson

Funeral Services with full military honors were held Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Old Silver Creek Baptist Church in Silver Creek, MS for Mr. James H. Watson, age 84, who passed away on March 10, 2017. Rev. Micah Rutland officiated. Interment followed in the Old Silver Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers were: John D. Watson, Stephen Watson, Christopher Watson, William Watson, Tyler Lott and Duane Fortenberry. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss was in charge of all arrangements. Mr. Watson was a retired Master Sergeant from the U. S. Army, having served with distinction for two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is survived by three sons, James Timothy Watson of Silver Creek, John Evan Watson (Teresa) of Vancleave, MS and Mark Eugene Watson (Karen) of Pascagoula, MS; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; four brothers, Allen “Buddy” Watson of Wade, MS, Glenn Watson of Bayou Cumbest, LA, Douglas Watson of Wade, MS, Danny Watson of Wade, MS and his sister, Katherine Watson of Pascagoula, MS. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, wife Barbara of fifty five years, four brothers, Billy Watson, Tommy Watson, Gene Watson, Paul Watson and one sister Cora Baum.
