Graveside Funeral Services for Ed Tyrone, Jr. were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at the Prentiss Cemetery in Prentiss, MS. Mr. Tyrone, age 75, passed away April 2, 2017 at Mississippi Baptist Hospital in Jackson, MS. Reverend John Barnes, II officiated. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Ed Tyrone, Jr. was born on September 6, 1942 in Jefferson Davis County to Edward and Bernice Garaway Tyrone. He attended Old Miss. He worked as a tractor salesman for companies in Jackson and Mendenhall for fifty plus years. He also worked part time as a Deputy Sheriff in Rankin County. Mr. Tyrone was preceded in death by his parents, stepmother and a half-brother. Survivors are his son, Marty Tyrone of Olive Branch, MS and his daughter, Kathy Smith of Brandon, MS; three grandchildren; two brothers, Ned Tyrone of Brandon, MS and Glenn Tyrone of Hattiesburg, MS.
