Virginia Turnage

Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Turnage will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at New Hebron Methodist Church in New Hebron, MS. Visitation will be Friday June 30, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:00pm at New Hebron Methodist. Mrs. Turnage, age 80, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2017 in New Hebron, MS. Reverend Mike Dubose and Reverend Mike Hart will officiate. Interment will follow in New Hebron Cemetery in New Hebron. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss will be in charge of all arrangements. Pallbearers will be: Robert Fortenberry, Albert Fortenberry, John Turnage, Jr., Jack Gatlin, Lovie Gatlin, Corby Ready, Gavin Daughdrill, Joel Gatlin and Shelton Culpepper, III. Honorary pallbearers will be: Wyatt Fortenberry, Asa Gatlin, Joseph Gatlin, Charlie Ready, Fletcher Fortenberry, and John Spurgeon Turnage. Mrs. Turnage worked as an L.P.N. in the medical industry. She was a member of New Hebron Methodist Church. She is survived by; two daughters, Jeanne (Barney) Calcote of Jayess, MS and Cheri Turnage (Joel) Gatlin of Jackson, MS ; one son, John Shelton (Catherine) Turnage of New Hebron; two sisters, Juanita Thomas of Wesson, MS and Mary Sue (Charles) Bradford of Byram, MS; one brother, Shelton (Kathy) Culpepper of Bay Springs, MS; eleven grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
