Gladys Stapleton

Funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Stapleton will be held at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 1, 2017 at Monticello Baptist Church in Monticello, MS. Visitation will be Friday June 30, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at Monticello Baptist. There will also be an hour visit from 9:00 to 10:00 am before the service. Mrs. Stapleton, age 90, passed away Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello, MS. Dr. Tim McCaffey will officiate. Interment will follow in Monticello Cemetery in Monticello. Saulters Moore Funeral Home of Prentiss will be in charge of all arrangements. Pallbearers will be: Michael Stapleton, Kevin Haas, Mack Stephens, Chuck Busby, Alton Folkes and Adam C. Turner. Mrs. Stapleton worked as a bookkeeper for the Western Auto. She was a member of Monticello Baptist Church. She is survived by; two sons, Ray (Jo) Stapleton of Silver Creek, MS and Robert (Wanda) Stapleton of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Michael (Lindsay) Stapleton of Spring, TX and Lara (Kevin) Haas of Hallettsville, TX; eight great grandchildren, Emily Stapleton, Morgan Logan Stapleton, Lanie Haas, Macie Haas, Preslie Haas, Karter Haas, Luke Stapleton and Kyle Stapleton; six great great grandchildren, Rylan Morgan, Talan Morgan, Jaycee McCarty, Brooklyn Bland, Kaylee McCarty and Madelyn Rae Beech. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of sixty four years, Julius Corbet Stapleton and one grandson, Matthew Stapleton.
