Funeral services will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the Bassfield Baptist Church in Bassfield, MS. for Mrs. Jan Hough, age 71, of Bassfield, MS who passed away Sunday, September 17, 2017 at her daughter’s residence in Bassfield, MS. Interment will follow in Bassfield Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19, 2017 from 5:30 to 8:00pm at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss, MS. A second visitation will be held Wednesday, September 20, 2017 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at Bassfield Baptist Church. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Reverend‘s Ken Roberts and Randy Gardner will officiate. Pallbearers are: Paul Jackson, Lance Garner, Sean McRaney, Christopher Mc Raney, Wade Jackson and Cade Jackson. Mrs. Hough was born August 11, 1946 in Newton, MS to Calvin Vardaman Herrington and Chassie Ainsworth Herrington. She had a BA from University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, MS and a Masters of Education from William Carey University in Hattiesburg. She was a Teacher in Education. She was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church. She is survived by; Two daughters, Michele Jackson (Paul) of Bassfield and Kristie Garner (Lance) of Prentiss, MS; Four grandchildren and one great grandchild; one sister, Mollie (Haskel) Stringer of Taylorsville, MS and one brother, Sonny (Sheila) Herrington of Bay Springs, MS.
