James M. "Jimmy" Polk

Funeral services for Mr. James M. "Jimmy" Polk will be held at 10:00 am Thursday, September 28, 2017 at Prentiss Baptist Church. Mr. Polk, age 69 passed away on Monday, September 25, 2017 at his residence in Prentiss. Interment will follow in Prentiss Cemetery. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2017 from 5:30 until 8:00 pm at Saulters Moore Funeral Home in Prentiss. Jimmy Polk was born February 15, 1948 in Brookhaven, MS, to James D. Polk and Charlene Parish Polk. He was a graduate of Pearl River Junior College. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam. Mr. Polk was a crane operator for Georgia Pacific for 29 and a half years and a member of Prentiss Baptist Church. Mr. Polk is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Polk of Prentiss, MS; Two sons, Chad Polk of Prentiss and Brad Polk (Kara) of Magee, MS; Three grandchildren, Walker, Vallie and Maeley Polk; Step Mother, Daisy Polk of Prentiss and step brother, Randy Daniels (Mary Lynn) of Prentiss.
