Madison, Mississippi Graveside Funeral Services for Mrs. Hazel Evans Jones Sharp will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sharp, age 95, passed away from this life on Saturday, September 30, 2017 in Madison. Reverend Trent Sullivan will officiate. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be; Jeff Jones, Jim Jones, Johnnie Jones, Jeremy Jones, Justin Jones and Luke Jones. Hazel Wilma Evans was born on May 4, 1922 in Prentiss to James Redden Evans, Jr. and Emma Colon Griffith Evans. Hazel Evans Jones Sharp was a retired clerk with University of Mississippi Medical Center. Mrs. Sharp was a member of Highland Baptist Church. Preceding Mrs. Sharp in death were her mother and father; husbands, Johnnie Loraine Jones, Sr. and Thomas Sharp; 3 sisters and 3 brothers. Survivors are 2 sons, Johnnie Jones, Jr. and his wife Mary Lee of Biloxi and Sidney Jones and his wife Vicky of Brandon; 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives, and friends.
