Betty Chism

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Rose Jones Chism will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Phalti Baptist Church. Mrs. Chism, age 62, passed away from this life on Saturday, November 25, 2017 in New Hebron. Reverend Billy Bridges will officiate. Interment will be in the Whitesand Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be; Charles Jones, Garrett Jones, Stephen Jones, Frank Smith, Cody Ledet, Colton Jones, Zack Walters and Tony Ishee. Betty Jones Chism was born on December 2, 1954 in Prentiss, MS to Kuhron and Ina Daughdrill Jones. She was a 1973 graduate of Prentiss High School and Draughn’s Business College. She worked in the medical records field for several years and the real estate business also. Most of her career was spent working for the State of Mississippi Department of Employment Security. She retired in November of 2016. She was preceded in death by her precious son, Matthew Corey Mooney; her parents and a nephew. Survivors are; James (Lou) Jones of New Hebron, William (Brenda) Jones and Robert (Jeannie) Jones all of Prentiss, two nieces and three nephews, great nieces and nephews and a great great nephew. Visitation will be Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 12:00pm until 2:00pm at Phalti Baptist Church.
