Funeral Services for Mrs. Ethel Marie Renfroe Ballew will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, January 5, 2018, at Bassfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Ballew passed away from this life on Sunday, December 31, 2017 in Hattiesburg. Reverend Ken Roberts and Reverend Charles Lee Loftin will officiate and interment will be in the Monticello Cemetery. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be; Roland Scroggins, Tom Jackson, Chad Viniard, James Renfroe, Mickey Robbins and Johnny Bass. Honorary pallbearers will be The Bassfield Baptist Church Men’s Brotherhood. . Ethel Marie Renfroe Ballew was born April 18, 1929 in Petal to John Plez Renfroe and Nettie Hamilton Renfroe. She was a homemaker. Mr. Ballew was an active member of Bassfield Baptist Church. She served in numerous capacities at the Church and was a pollworker, as well as an avid cook and gardener. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Stanford Huston Ballew; 1 niece, Janice Rustin; and a brother-in-law, Jim Rustin. Mrs. Ballew is survived 2 sons, Wayne Huston Ballew (Mary) of Baton Rouge, LA and Brian Stanford Ballew of Metairie, LA; 5 grandchildren, Apryl Ballew, Kevin Ballew, Christina Ballew, Amanda Douglas, and Matthew Heard; 7 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Allaine Rustin, Edith Porter, and Annette Scroggins; 2 brother, Reverend Fred Renfroe and Reverend Kenton Refroe; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be Friday, January 5, 2018 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Bassfield Baptist Church. Online condolences and a guest registry are available at www.saultersmoorefuneralhome.com.
