Burl Harrison

Mr. Burl Harrison, 67, passed away at his home in Collins, MS on Sunday, December 5, 2021. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. "Burl" as he was known by those who loved him, was born April 3, 1954 in Prentiss, MS to N.H. and Myrtle Brown Harrison. He worked for many years as a tug boat operator and also as a carpenter. Burl also loved to work in his garden. He was a Baptist. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by his parents, N.H. and Myrtle Harrison. He is survived by 2 daughters, Rebecca Harrison of Bassfield, MS and Megan Harrison of Richland, MS; the mother of his children, Angela Barrett of Bassfield, MS; 2 brothers, Steve Harrison of Bassfield, MS and Jason Harrison of Collins, MS. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren. A memorial service will be held Monday, December 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm at the Lone Star Cemetery. Brother Rocky Colson will officiate.
