Billy Ford Shivers passed away on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at his residence in the Old Hebron Community at the age of 77.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has be entrusted with arrangements.

Billy was born on January 10, 1949, in California to Henry Ford and Kathryn Shivers.  He was a graduate of Prentiss High School and later Mississippi State University where he earned a degree in Aeronautical Engineering.  Billy worked for over 30 years owning a Heating and Air Conditioning business in Mobile Alabama.  He was deeply loved by many and was a very giving person who had a life full of adventures and many stories to go along with those adventures. 

After retiring, Billy and his wife moved back to Jefferson Davis county where he enjoyed his farm and raising cattle.  Billy had a love for animals, especially rescue animals. Those rescue animals included dogs, horses, donkeys and many others and all could be seen on his farm.  Family members commented that he would not turn away any four legged creature that was in need of care and a home.  He was a member of Whitesand Baptist Church.

Billy is preceeded in death by his parents, his first wife Sue Bacon Shivers, a brother Larry Shivers and a nephew Rocky Shivers.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Rebekah Shivers, step daughters Kimberly Martin (Steven), Rachel Johnston (Caleb) and Krystal Clanton (Tyler).  Brothers Jerry Shivers  and Joe Carol Shivers.  He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren.
