Graveside services for Mrs. Brenda Diane Jones will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, November 2, 2026, at the Prentiss Cemetery with the Elder Shane Arnold officiating. Mrs. Jones, age 75, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at her home. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends on Monday, beginning at 9:00 am until 10:45 am at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jones will be carried to her final rest by those honored to serve as pallbearers including William Matheus, Stephen Jones, Garrett Jones, Brad Jones, Zach Walters, and Jordan Mauroner.

Brenda Diane Jones was born on January 19, 1951, in Hinds County, Mississippi, to Charles Allgood and Thelma Tibbs Allgood. A graduate of Forest Hill High School, Brenda served as both a cheerleader and majorette.

Above all else, Brenda's greatest joy was found in her family. A loving wife, devoted mother, and cherished grandmother, she treasured the time spent with those she held dear. Her grandchildren, in particular, were the light of her life and held a very special place in her heart.

Brenda found pleasure in life's simple joys, whether settling in with a good book or enjoying her favorite television programs. However, she was perhaps most enthusiastic when it came to sports. An avid Mississippi State University fan, she faithfully cheered on her beloved Bulldogs and seldom missed an opportunity to show her maroon and white pride.

Brenda will be fondly remembered for her love of family, her devotion to those closest to her, and the many precious memories she leaves behind. Mrs. Jones was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Jackson.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Allgood and Thelma Allgood; her brothers, Chuck and Doug Allgood; her nephews, Wesley Jones and Matthew Mooney; and her sister-in-law, Betty Chism.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 55 years, William Jones of Prentiss; her daughter, Keri Matheus (Ricardo) of Freeport, FL; her son, Charles Jones (Paige) of Daphne, AL; her sister, Sandy Allgood of McDuff, GA; and her brothers-in-law, Robert Jones and James Jones, both of Prentiss. The legacy of their Nana will also live on through her grandchildren, Cheyanne Presswood, Jessica Mauroner, William Matheus, Jonathan Matheus, Jax Jones, Layla Jones, Landon Jones, and her great-grandson, Mason Mauroner. Brenda also leaves behind her nieces, Rachelle Smith, Britain Whitfield; and her nephews, Chad Allgood, Colton Allgood, Garrett Jones, and Stephen Jones.
