Fishing along the waters of the Pearl River and the Ross Barnett Reservoir was a favorite past time and brought him immense happiness, reflecting his love for nature and the outdoors.   A "people person", he gave of his greatest resource-his time to those he loved.  His son and all the pallbearers listed will forever cherish memories of all night fishing trips with "Papa Charles" on the Pearl River.  Mr. Jenkins was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jenkins is preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas, Dennis, Larry, Robert Dale, Ralph and his sisters, Brenda and Joyce.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 33 years, Joy Ulmer Jenkins, of Prentiss, daughter, Amanda (Daniel) Graves of Prentiss; son, Charles (Jessa) Jenkins, Jr. of Shivers;
