Charles "Woody" Calhoun, Jr.

Graveside services for Mr. Woody Calhoun will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, April 17, 2020 at Oakvale Cemetery in Mt. Olive. Mr. Calhoun, age 80, passed away from this life on Wednesday, April 15, 2020. Reverend Dr. French Tripp will officiate and Michelle Duckworth will give a musical tribute. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Charles Woody Calhoun, Jr., was born on September 24, 1939 in Lone Star to Charles Woody Calhoun, Sr., and Ruth Hall Calhoun. Mr. Calhoun was a farmer and a member of Prentiss Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father. Mr. Calhoun is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elaine Magee Calhoun of Prentiss; two sons, Clay Lewis Calhoun (Lynn) of Oxford and Charles Woody Calhoun, III, of Forrest; and one grandson, Hunter Lewis Calhoun of Starkville; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
