Funeral services for Mr. William Dale Watson, Sr. will be conducted at 11:00 AM Friday, April 15, 2022, at Saulters Moore Funeral Chapel. Interment will follow in New Hebron Cemetery. Mr. Watson, age 78, passed away early Tuesday morning, April 12, 2022, at his home in New Hebron, MS. Mr. William Dale Watson, Sr. was born on April 10, 1944, in Lincoln County, MS to Robert Guilford and Gertrude Kirkland Watson. Mr. Watson was previously employed in his earlier years by Capitol Resource Drilling, spending the last 18 years of his career driving a truck for Kyla, Inc. Among his many passions was classic cars. He was especially proud of the 1966 Chevrolet Caprice in which he owned and restored. He also enjoyed watching Westerns; in particiular, "Gunsmoke" and also enjoyed keeping up with friends and family on Facebook. Mr. Watson was a member of the Monticello Church of Christ. Serving as Pallbearers are: Pat Bourne, Josh Lott, Clint Langley, Bill Langley, Jerry Daryl King, J.R. Watson, Will Watson and Nate Watson. Honorary Pallbearers include: Billy Langley, Pete Ward, Fred Sykes and Ronald Jones. Mr. Watson was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Guilford and Gertrude Watson, his daughter, Amy Denise Watson Henderson, 2 brothers, Robert Watson and Ralph Watson. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving wife of 55 years, Brenda Polk Watson of New Hebron; 3 sons, William Dale Watson, Jr. (Christina) of Wiggins, MS, Dr. Robert Curtis Watson (Sharon) of Hattiesburg, MS, James Dale Watson and 1 sister, Betty Watson King of Monticello. He also leaves behind 5 grandchildren, William Curtis Watson, JoAnna Denise Watson, Claire Elizabeth Watson, William Nathanial Watson and Timothy Corban Watson. The family will receive friends Friday morning, 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.
