Dixie Faye Griffith

Funeral services for Mrs. Dixie Faye Griffith will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2025, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Brad Roberts officiating. Private interment will follow at the Lone Star Cemetery.  Mrs. Griffith, age 91, entered into the eternal rest of her Lord late Thursday evening, July 3, 2025, at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.  Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends Sunday, 2 hours before the funeral service, beginning at 1:00 p.m. at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Dixie Faye Griffith was born on March 24, 1934, in Covington County to John Adam and Katie Bridges Roberts. Dixie would go on to marry her sweet-heart, Preston Griffith, and to this union, two children were added.  She was blessed to see the addition of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and with great joy, was anticipating the birth of a great-great grandchild.  A homemaker for most of her life, she took great pride in caring for her family.  Known for her delicious dressing and chicken and dumplings, the memories created around her table will remain in the hearts of her loved ones for many years.  In addition, she will be remembered for her zest for life and especially the fun she had playing Bingo.  Mrs. Griffith was a member of Lone Star Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Griffith is preceded in death by her husband, Preston Griffith; son, Mark Griffith; sisters, Mary Lee Polk, Wilma Chain, Johnnie Walker, and her brothers, Henry Roberts and Howard Roberts.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Barbara Erwin of Collins; grandsons, Chris Fields (Tracie), Joshua Erwin (Samantha), Scotty Griffith, Richard Griffith; her great-grandchildren, Calin Carter (Keith), Kaylee Erwin, and Joshua Keath Erwin and her expected great-great granddaughter, Taylor Kate Carter.
