Dixie Davis Holland Funeral services for Mrs. Dixie Davis Holland will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 4, 2018, at St. Peter Catholic Church. Mrs. Holland, 102, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018, at her residence in Bassfield. Father Peter Kmiecik will officiate. Interment will follow in St. James Cemetery. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Holland was born February 10, 1916, in Jefferson Davis County, MS to Johnnie L. Davis and Annie Clark Davis. She was a clerk in the United States Postal Service and a member of St. Peters Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Grover Harper Holland; one sister and four brothers. Mrs. Holland is survived by one daughter, Ann Breaux of New Orleans, LA; one son, Carey Holland of Bassfield; four grandchildren, Melinda Trotti, “Chuck” John Carey, Jr., Brandy Breaux Simkins and Cherie Breaux Bochnik; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday, June 4, 2018 from 10:00 till 11:00 AM at St. Peters Catholic Church before the service.
