Donna Robbins Upton was born on July 8, 1955, in Tylertown, Mississippi, to Carl, Jr. and Carrye Nell Gerald Robbins. A lifelong resident of the Divide community, she was a graduate of Topeka Tilton High School. Donna's steadfast commitment to her community and its people was evident throughout her life. As a social worker at the Lawrence County Nursing Center, she embodied a nurturing spirit and compassionate heart. She went above and beyond to ensure that the long-term residents in her care received the highest quality of life, fostering a warm and welcoming environment that made them feel at home. In recognition of her unwavering dedication, she was honored with the Caregiver of the Year award by the Mississippi Health Care Association in 2011.

Donna had a flair for good taste and a talent for decorating that shone brightly across the seasons. Her beautiful yard and seasonal décor reflected her joyful spirit. Memories of shopping at flea markets with her daughters remain cherished moments for them, embodying the joy and love she brought into their lives. Her greatest happiness derived from the laughter of her grandchildren. Known affectionately as MoMo to her grandchildren, she also proudly served as MoMo to her nieces, nephews, and friends. The epitome of southern grace, Donna always had room for one more at her table, and many hold fond memories of entering her home as a friend, only to depart feeling like family.

A fun-loving soul, Donna was known for her playful pranks on family members, adding a touch of mischievous delight to gatherings. She cherished opportunities to travel, and one of her most memorable adventures was a trip to California to see the majestic Big Trees. Ms. Upton was a devoted member of the Divide Memorial Methodist Protestant Church, where she served for many years as the choir director and was also active in the Women’s Missionary Society (WMS).

Mrs. Upton is preceded in death by her parents, Jr. and Nell Robbins, her beloved husband, Sid Upton; her daughter, Lauren Christina Upton; her brothers, Gerald Robbins, Kenny Robbins, and a precious grandbaby, who was born silent.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her son, Scott Upton of Magee; daughters, Lisa Daniels (ERay) of Bassfield, Nikki Pierce (Jason) of Monticello, and her brother, Jackie Robbins (Brenda) of Monticello. The legacy of their MoMo will also live on through her grandchildren, Ty Daniels, Caden Price (Tayler), Sydney Sartin and, her great-grandbabies, Kohen, and Kollins.
