Dr. John R. King, Jr.

Graveside inurnment services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2022, at the Daniel R. King Cemetery in Bassfield, MS. The Reverend Rob Webb will officiate. Dr. John R. King, Jr., 73, died February 13, 2022 in Fort Pierce, Florida. He was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and resided in Fort Pierce, Florida. Dr. King graduated from Dan McCarty High School and then went on to receive his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi. He taught at the University of Central Florida and John Carroll High School. He then became the president of Suncoast Grove & Nursery in Fort Pierce, FL. He enjoyed collecting antique tools, traveling, and the outdoors. Survivors include his mother, Gladys King of Fort Pierce, FL and sister, Carla King of Stuart, FL. He was preceded in death by his father, John R. King.
