Ervin W. Stringfellow, Sr.

Funeral services for Mr. Ervin Stringfellow will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, August 7, 2020 at the First United Pentecostal Church of Hurley. Mr. Stringfellow, age 75, passed away from this life on Wednesday, August 5, 2020 at Asbury Hospice Center in Hattiesburg. Interment will follow at Roberson Cemetery in Moss Point. Reverend Tony Craven and Reverend Gary Phillips will officiate. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be, Tony Cannon, Billy Gill, Robert Gill, Austin Owens, Landon Owens, Carlos Pratt, Michael Stringfellow, Stewart Owens and Mikie Stringfellow. Ervin Stringfellow was born on January 31, 1945 in Pascagoula to Milmon Wesley Stringfellow and Ann Laura Hudson Stringfellow. Mr. Stringfellow was a conductor on the railroad and a carpenter. He was a member and evangelist of the Pentecostal Church. He was preceded in death by his mother and father; wife, Barbara Gail Layfield Stringfellow; daughter Margaret Darlene White and daughter-in-law, Amanda Ryan Stringfellow. Mr. Stringfellow is survived by his wife, Elsie Stringfellow of New Hebron; 2 daughters, Tammy Owens (Robert) of Hurley and Donna Lopez of Pascagoula; 2 sons, Ervin Stringfellow, Jr. (Katrina) of Lucedale and Milmon Stringfellow of Gautier; 1 step-daughter, Samantha Sullivan (Dwayne) of Shivers; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, Lonnie Stringfellow (Barbara) of Richland; 4 sisters, Helen Quillen of West Point, Jean Parker of Gulfport, Dorothy Kennedy (Kent) of Pascagoula and Sue Woodruff (Richard) of Ashburn, GA. Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2020 from 11:00am until 1:00 pm at First United Pentecostal Church of Hurley.
