Memorial services for Rev. Frankie Gerald Taylor will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Calvary Pentecostal Church in Jayess with the Reverend Joel Holmes officiating. Mr. Taylor, age 81, entered into the eternal rest of his Lord on Friday afternoon, June 26, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, devoted service, and love for his family. Private graveside rites with military honors rendered by the United States Air Force Honor Guard were held at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Calvary Cemetery in Jayess. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11, 2026 beginning at 12:00 Noon until the hour of service at 2:00 pm at Calvary Pentecostal Church.

Mr. Taylor was born on June 25, 1945, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Grady T. Taylor and Annie Doris Taylor McIver. He was the oldest of five children and spent his early years in Rayville, Louisiana, where he developed a love for family, farming, hunting, fishing, and the outdoors. The memories he cherished most were those spent on his grandparents’ farm at Holly Ridge, where he learned the values of hard work, humility, and perseverance.

At just nine years old, Frankie experienced the heartbreaking loss of his father. Though life brought many challenges, he remained steadfast, allowing his faith in God to guide every step of his journey.

Frankie married his high school sweetheart, Lenee Ann Maples on December 4, 1966 when he was granted leave from the United States Air Force. Frankie proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. He loved his nation and was honored to have worn the uniform in service to others.

At the age of 21, Bro. Taylor answered the call of God to preach the Gospel. For the rest of his life, he and his wife, as he lovingly called his “angel of the battlefield” started and pastored 10 home missions works dedicating themselves to sharing the message of Jesus Christ, encouraging others, and pointing countless souls toward salvation. His greatest desire was to serve the Lord and leave a lasting spiritual legacy. They raised three children to love and serve the Lord and they lead them by example. As a result of the life they led, their three children are all serving the Lord and leading their own families to do the same.

Above all, Frankie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. He deeply loved his family and believed that one’s greatest wealth was not found in possessions but in faith, family, and the memories shared together. Before his passing, he lovingly wrote down the story of his childhood so future generations would know where they came from and remember those who came before them.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lenee Ann Maples Taylor; his daughter Christi Ann Keathley and husband Steve, his son, James Clifton Taylor and wife Christi, his son, John Paul Taylor and wife Erica, 9 grandchildren, and a 14 great grandchildren along with many other cherished family members, friends, and brothers and sisters in Christ who were blessed by his life and ministry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady Taylor and Annie Doris Taylor McIver, his son, David Grady Taylor, brother, Jack Taylor, and other loved ones who welcomed him into his eternal home.

Frankie will be remembered for his steadfast faith, humble spirit, love for God’s Word, faithful ministry, patriotic service, and the kindness and wisdom he shared with everyone he met. His testimony was not only spoken from the pulpit but lived each day through a life of integrity, compassion, and devotion to Christ.

Though he is deeply missed, his family rejoices in the assurance that he has heard the words, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant,” and now rests in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
