Sandra Grace Macon Bryant was born on February 20, 1948, in New Orleans, LA, to Francis Morgan and Jewell Ponder Macon.  Mrs. Bryant spent her career helping others as a Registered Nurse (RN), during a long tenure with the State of Louisiana at the Metropolitan Developmental Center in Belle Chasse, Louisiana.  Mrs. Bryant and her husband enjoyed sharing their love with family and friends.  Her love of the Lord Jesus Christ was most important in her life, as well as serving others, which continued into her retirement to Oakvale, MS.  She was always an active member of the church, serving the Lord in many different roles.  This includes her last church, Ebenezer Baptist Church of Bassfield, Mississippi.  There, she taught Sunday School and served on several committees, including leading the Woman's Missionary Union (WMU).

After the passing of her husband, Mrs. Bryant spent most of her time with family and friends in Ruston, LA.  She was affectionately known by all as "Grammy", sharing sweetness and love with all those that she encountered.  She was also supported by special friends, Tammy Cook, Janelle "Nae Nae" Brown and Doshie Goodjoint.

Mrs. Bryant was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband of 50 years, James Vernon Bryant, and one sister, Gail Macon Tortorich.

Her memory will forever be cherished by her 2 sons, Jeremy Vernon Bryant of Toronto, Canada and Jacob Paul Bryant (Jennifer) of Hammond, LA; 2 daughters, Jessica Bryant Bennett of Ruston, LA and Jennifer Elizabeth Garriga (Christopher) also of Ruston; 7 grandchildren, Bryant Reagan Bennett, Britton Morgan Bennett, Brycen Bradley Bennett, Charley Grace Garriga, Collins Elizabeth Garriga, Hadley Beth Bryant, and Hartley Grace Bryant; oldest niece Trisha Tortorich Faliveno (Mark) and great-niece Ella Jewell Faliveno; sister-in-law, Rebecca Bryant Farlow (Donald); as well as a host of additional nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
