Gracie Broome

Funeral Services for Mrs. Gracie Broome will be held at 2:00pm Sunday January 27, 2019 at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Mrs. Broome, 86, passed away from this life on Friday,  January 25, 2019 at The Marion General Hospital.  Rev. Dewitt Bain and Rev. Ed Steele will officiate. Interment will be in the Lowland Cemetery. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Pallbearers will be Johnathan Williams, Jerrett Williams, Hal Bell, Carl Williams, Tom Williams and James Boleware. Gracie Broome was born January 16, 1933 in Marion County, MS to Johnie Williams and Azzie Broome Williams. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and a brother, Glyn Williams. Mrs. Broome is survived by her husband of 63 years H.D. Broome of Bassfield; her son, Darrell Broome (Sara) of Bassfield; three brothers, Hubert Williams (Helen) of Petal, Shelton Williams (Sue) of Castro Valley, CA and J.C. Williams (Janice) of Ellisville; her sister, Lizzie Greer (J.V.) of Columbia; two grandchildren, Joshua Broome and Drew Broome; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
