Funeral services for Mr. Herbert R. McLeod, Jr. will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Saulters Moore Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Hepzibah Cemetery. Mr. McLeod, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, at the Lawrence County Nursing Center. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

Herbert R. McLeod, Jr. was born on October 13, 1945 in Lawrence County, MS to Herbert R. and Thelma Merritt McLeod. A life-long resident of Lawrence County, he retired after many years of service at the Keystone-Seneca Wire Cloth Company in Brookhaven. Mr. McLeod was a member of Carmel Baptist Church in Monticello.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Daisy M. McLeod; his son, Herbert R. McLeod, III; his grandson, Tyler Joseph McLeod; and his siblings, Voncile Case, Thelma L. Adcock, and Edna Earl Speights.

His memory will forever be cherished by his son, Quentin G. McLeod (Christy) of Monticello; his daughter, Teresa St. Amant (Ronnie) of Richland; 7 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.
