Jerry Lynn Puckett, II was born on January 26, 1966 in Metairie, LA to Jerry Lynn, Sr. and Martha Ann Brock Puckett.  Jerry's father relocated his family several times due to his career, but Jerry spent most of his adult life in Mississippi.  Around 1990, he joined the engineering firm of Burns, Cooley and Dennis as an entry level soil, concrete and asphalt tester and served there for 33 years.  Through the example of dedication, hard work and leadership, Jerry excelled with the firm and became manager of the Hattiesburg office.
Being a people person, Jerry was blessed with the gift of being able to talk to anyone and his family relates that if a stranger was around him for more than a few minutes, Jerry turned them into a friend.  He will be truly missed by all his coffee drinking buddies at the Prentiss Exxon where he was known to so many as a "friend".  Jerry was also one who loved adventure.  He and his wife made many fond memories riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle to many beautiful places around the United States including the Great Smokey Mountains, Black Hills, South Dakota and Sturgis, South Dakota, to name just a few.  In addition, Jerry was also an avid deer hunter. His family takes great consolation that he had confessed a hope in Christ many years ago; he was of the non-denominational church.

Jerry is preceded in death by his father, Jerry Lynn Puckett, II; an infant sister, Martha Lynn Puckett and his father-in-law, Kent Boleware.

His memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife of 33 years, Cindy B. Puckett of Prentiss; sister, Kimberly Ann; mother Martha Ann Puckett; mother-in-law, Frances Boleware; sister-in-law, Tammy Bush (Buster); brother-in-law, Johnny Kent Boleware, Jr. of Petal; nieces, Johnna Rayborn, Chloe Lily Boleware and his nephews, John Henry Rayborn, Logan Rail and Jake Rail.
