Graveside services for Mr. Joseph Lindon Burchfield will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Oak Grove Apostolic Church Cemetery in Morgantown. Pastor Burl Livingston will officiate. Mr. Burchfield, age 41, passed from this life suddenly on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, after a log truck accident in Poplarville. Saulters Moore Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.

The family will receive friends on Saturday morning from 10:00 am until 10:50 am at Oak Grove Apostolic Church.

Joe was born on September 15, 1984, in Jackson, Mississippi to Jeff Lindon and Tammy Easterling Burchfield. Having grown up in Star, Mississippi, he had been a heavy equipment operator for the past 18 years. Joe will be remembered for his love of hunting and riding motorcycles; but his greatest passion was his family, whom he loved dearly. Mr. Burchfield attended the Oak Grove Apostolic Church in Morgantown.

He is preceded in death by his father, Jeff LIndon Burchfield.

His memory will forever be cherished by his wife, Marleena Burchfield of Columbia; his daughters, Jamie McElvoy of Starkville, Savannah DeWitt of Columbia; his sons, Lindon Burchfield of Pearl, Jason DeWitt of Columbia; his mother, Tammy Burchfield of Pearl; his sister, Nancy Kees of Brandon, and Jeff Burchfield of Pelahatchie. Mr. Burchfield also leaves behind a grandson, Matthew Burkhammer.
