Karen Bridges

Memorial services for Karen Blackmon will be held Thursday, December 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Carson Baptist Church in Carson, MS. Rev. Benji Sessums will officiate. Mrs. Blackmon, age 50, passed away early Tuesday morning, December 21, 2021, at her home in Bassfield, MS. Saulters Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Blackmon was born August 7, 1971 in Prentiss, MS to Billy Ray and Edna Marquardq Blackmon. Karen attended Bassfield High School and entered Cosmotology School where she worked for many years as Regional Manager for Regis Salons. She was very artistic and had a passion for drawing and painting. Karen was a member of Carson Baptist Church. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Billy Ray Blackmon and a brother, Michael Watson. She is survived by her children, Sydney Bridges of Carson and Oliver Bridges of Bassfield; her mother, Edna Blackmon of Bassfield; 2 brothers, Edward Blackmon of Bassfield and Danny Watson of Bailey, Colorado. Karen also leaves several nephews. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Carson Baptist Church, on behalf of the family, to help with funeral expenses.
