The family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Saulters Moore Funeral Home.

Kenneth was born on March 5, 1959 in Lawrence County, Mississippi to Reggie and Myrtle Ruth Davis Sutton.

His early years were shaped by the close-knit community of New Hebron, where he developed a strong work ethic and a love for the outdoors. Kenneth was a graduate of New Hebron High School, where he distinguished himself as an excellent athlete. He was a proud member of the Golden Bears, playing both football and basketball with passion and determination.

Kenneth worked for many years in the construction business as a painter and other facets of carpentry. His work was characterized by a meticulous attention to detail and a steady professionalism that earned him the respect of colleagues and clients alike.

An avid outdoorsman, Kenneth loved everything about nature. His passion for fishing and hunting was more than a hobby; it was a way to connect with the world around him and find solace. Whether hunting deer or other wild game, Kenneth’s connection to the land was a defining element of his character. His wife fondly recalls that some of his happiest moments were spent listening to the sounds of his dogs running during the hunt.

At the heart of Kenneth’s life was his family. His legacy lives on most vividly in his steadfast devotion to them, especially his grandchildren. While he loved each one dearly, his bond with his one and only grandson was particularly special, a relationship marked by closeness and mutual affection. Those who knew Kenneth well recognize that his family was the center of his world, and his love and commitment to them remain an enduring testament to his character. Mr. Sutton was a member of New Hebron Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Spencer Sutton; and his nephew, Christopher Lee.

He is survived by his wife, Debra W. Sutton, who has been his soulmate for 37 years. He also leaves behind his daughter, Christy Barnett (Adam) of Mendenhall; his sister, Marilyn Sefton of Gulfport; his nephews Joe Sutton of New Hebron, Michael and Ryan Sefton, both of Gulfport; and his nieces, Carrie Hammond and Ashley Sutton in Magee. The legacy of their Granddaddy will also live on through his grandchildren, Hadan, Emilee, and Madison.
