Mary Louise Johnson was born on July 9, 1946 in Seattle, Washington to Charles Coryell and Martha Clausen Williams. While Mary's employment spanned nearly 3 decades in the Armed Forces Civil Services, her first job as a Meals on Wheels cook was her favorite job and her one true calling. Mary was devoted to her family and also the consummate homemaker, taking great joy in caring for her husband and four daughters. A self taught cook, she will be remembered not only for her scrumptious chocolate chip brownies and her strawberry rhubarb pie, but also for her potato salad and baked beans. However, greater than her skill in the kitchen, the most indispensable ingredient of Mary's good home cooking was her love for those she cooked for. Being a wonderful hostess, Mary had also had the gift of compassion. She derived great joy in making people happy and loved to entertain, as well. Mary was also very artistic and enjoyed sewing, knitting, macrame, painting and was also an avid snow skier. In years past, she was also active in 4-H, winning several purple ribbons through the years for her efforts and took great pride in teaching younger people how to can vegetables, fruits and jellies. In addition to her many friends, Mary will also be missed by her horse, "Fancy" and her cat "Kitty". She was of the Catholic faith. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Corywell and Martha Williams and also her brother, Charles Coryell Williams, II. Her memory will forever be cherished by her husband of 57 years, Jerry K. Johnson, 4 daughters, Kathryn Ann (Steve) Langston, Patricia Ann (Danny) McMurtray, Carolyn Ann Bigford, Sherryl Ann (Matt) Couch; 1 sister, Karen G. Trimble; 1 brother, Robert Williams; Mary adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren very much. The legacy of their Grandma, Gamma and Olemar will live on through her grandchildren, Matthew R. Langston, Timothy S. Langston, Daniel J. Couch, Tyler W. Couch, Molly N. McMurtray and great-granchildren, Ruby Langston, Lulabee Langston, Iris Langston and Julian Langston.
