Graveside Services for Mrs. Opal Ard will be held Monday, October 1, 2018, at 10:00 AM at New Hebron Cemetery. The family will officiate. Interment will follow. Mrs. Ard passed away from this life on Friday, September 28 2018 at Lawrence County Hospital in Monticello. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ard was born September 4, 1936 in Guthrie, OK to Mr. Elbert Lee Kizzar and Mrs. Mary Moten Kizzar.  She was a bookkeeper for Regions Bank. She was a member of Philadelphia United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Charles Ray Ard of Monticello; two sons, Charles (Penne) Ard of Huntersville, NC and Brady (Kimberly) Ard of Clinton, MS; three brothers, Johnny Kizzar of California, Jackie Kizzar of Texarkana, Tx and Kenneth Kizzar of Sun Benito, TX; two sisters, Suzie Davis of Texarkana and Vera Green of San Benito; twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
