Patsy Ruth Lott was born on September 13, 1939, in Hinds County, Mississippi to Simon Leslie and Doris Sanders Whitehead. A graduate of Prentiss High School, she married the love of her life, and the happy couple raised their family in Pearl. Pat dedicated many years of her life to her career, serving as a bookkeeper for Sunbelt Wholesale in Pearl, where she retired.
Her commitment to family was evident in every aspect of her life. Pat was not only the cornerstone of her family but was also known for her generous spirit and willingness to assist family members in any way possible, including driving them to doctor appointments.
Her home was a cherished haven for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and family reunions. Her family fondly remembers the countless holidays spent around her table, where everyone enjoyed a bounty of food, especially her unforgettable Kenny Rogers dressing.
In addition, Pat had a zest for life that was evident in her many interests. She enjoyed vacationing in the Smokey Mountains, where family memories were created. Shopping was another of her passions, particularly at outlet malls, with Foley, AL, among her favorites. Mrs. Lott was a member of Carson Methodist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Reggie O’Neal Lott; and her brothers, Sonny Whitehead, Junior Whitehead, James Marvin Whitehead, and Johnny Whitehead.
Her memory will forever be cherished by her daughters, Vicki Bunch of Carson, Elaine Stuessi (Kurt) of College Grove, TN, Mandy Clanton (Clay) of Meadville; her grandson, Tyler Stuessi (Amanda), and her great-grandsons, Brennan Stuessi, and Douglas O’Neal Clanton.
