Peggy Fortenberry Gray

Graveside Services for Mrs. Peggy Fortenberry Gray will be held Saturday, June 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM at the Prentiss Cemetery. Mrs. Gray was 87 years of age and passed away from this life on Friday, June 12, 2020 in Arlington, TX. She was a former resident of Kenner, LA. Saulters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Peggy Marie Fortenberry Gray was born on July 30, 1932 in Silver Creek to John Rex Fortenberry and Jewel Elizabeth Polk Fortenberry. Mrs. Gray was a retired manager for the Pan Amoco Credit Union. She was a member of Old Silver Creek Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Kenner. Mrs. Gray was preceded in death by her mother and father; her husband, Wesley Neal Gray, Sr; 3 sisters, Alagene and Emogene Wingo, and Barbara Watson; and 1 brother, Lyndell Fortenberry. Survivors include a daughter, Emily Neufeld (Peter) of Arlington, TX; a son, Wesley Neal Gray, Jr (Hoang) of Kenner, LA; 5 grandchildren, Lauren, Kimberly, Katherine, Patrick, and Matthew; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
