Peggy Jane Sears

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Phalti Cemetery in Mt. Olive, MS. Peggy Sears passed away Saturday, February 27, at the age of 79. Rev. Carroll Rippy will officiate. Saulters-Moore Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Peggy (1941-2021) was born in Jefferson Davis County to Hilrie and Dixie Magee. After finishing college, she worked as a secretary for State Farm Insurance Company. Peggy was also a faithful member of Phalti Baptist Church, where she and her husband were very involved with the Royal Ambassadors youth group. She was also a true Patriot with a deep devotion and love for her country. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Hilrie Q. and Dixie McInnis Magee and her son, Shane Sears. She is survived by her husband, Norris Sears; 2 sons, Steed Sears (Jan) of Lumberton, MS and Flint Sears of Petal, MS; 1 Sister; Beth Boleware of Hattiesburg, MS, 2 Brothers; Jerry Q Magee and Jack Magee, both of Prentiss, MS. 4 Grandchildren; Dalton Sears, Conner Sears, Blake Sears, and Logan Sears. 1 Great Grandchild, Riley Sears. The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 3, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at Saulters-Moore Funeral Home, with graveside services beginning at 2:00 pm at Phalti Cemetery in Mt. Olive.
